The project Artificial Worldviews will be exhibited as part of Salon Sophie Charlotte 2025, which this year examines the theme of Metamorphoses. Engaging with questions of transformation across natural, cultural, and societal domains, the Salon invites visitors to explore and critically reflect on ongoing processes of change.
Artificial Worldviews investigates the epistemological frameworks embedded in large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3.5. Through 1,764 prompts, the project systematically maps the model’s knowledge and interrogates how such systems influence communication, conceptual development, and authorship. As LLMs become integral to contemporary discourse, their impact on the production and transmission of ideas warrants critical analysis.
